Braised Amsterdam Red Cabbage

Directions

  • Shred the cabbage coarsely. 
  • Melt butter in a deep skillet and sauté the cabbage for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. 
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, sugar and flour mixing lightly. 
  • Add the ale; cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. 
  • Serve.
