Cabbage
½ tsp
Sugar
3 tbsp
Butter
1 tbsp
Flour
1 tsp
Salt
1 ¼ cup
Ale
¼ tsp
Black pepper
Braised Amsterdam Red Cabbage
Directions
- Shred the cabbage coarsely.
- Melt butter in a deep skillet and sauté the cabbage for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, sugar and flour mixing lightly.
- Add the ale; cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve.
